Little Market Cafe 24 Hours to Hell and Back

In this 24 Hours to Hell and Back episode, Gordon Ramsay visits Little Market Cafe in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Ellicott City, Maryland was hit by floods in both 2016 and 2018.

The local businesses have suffered as a result.

In order to save the restaurant Gordon is turning off the 24 hour timer.

They will have a number of days for the task.

Jeni is the owner of Little Market Cafe.

She has owned the cafe for five years.

He believes that the solid community is why her restaurant is so special.

The town never fully recovered following the second flood.

Gordon goes undercover as a historian with a group of locals.

He asks the townspeople to gather outside Little Market Cafe.

Gordon goes into the cafe to meet Jenni and gives her a big hug before taking her outside.

Outside the Cafe Gordon tells them that he will be doing whatever it takes.

He wants to restore the town and that he needs the towns help.

Jenni tells us that the Cafe is struggling each month since the floods.

Local business owner Dave tells of her kindness during the floods.

Her staff care for her greatly and tell of her support for them.

Gordon meets Jenni and they talk about the flood.

Jenni was at home when manager Max called.

When she arrived she couldn't get past the parking lot.

Max was trapped inside and he told her that he is unable to swim.

With the help of two locals Jenni was able to get him out of the building.

Gordon meets with the staff and the loyal staff feel like family.

They have worked unpaid in order to help save the restaurant.

He introduces the team that will be helping.

It includes Theresa and staff from the National Guard.

The team work together to clear out the cafe.

Gordon takes the staff from the cafe out to his Hell on Wheels truck.

His staff will be showing them the new menu so that Jenni can spend more time as front of house.

Gordon takes all of the owners to the home of the Baltimore Ravens.

They will be displaying a huge billboard advertising the town during the first home game of the season.

The rain slows the progress of painting the outside of the building.

Gordon calls in extra help to get it finished.

Jenni arrives at the cafe to cheers from the locals.

The exterior of the cafe has been completely transformed with a new firepit and terrace.

On relaunch, the fire pit smores are a big hit with the kids.

The customers outside are loving the new food.

Jenni is in the kitchen and gets a small scolding from Gordon.

He calls her a maverick and asks her to never change.

Gordon promises to come back in the summer.

He gives Jenni a big hug after telling her to get out the front of the business.


What Happened Next at Little Market Cafe?

Shortly after Gordon came they temporarily closed Main Street.

All their businesses closed due to COV-19 shutdowns.

Little Market Cafe is open.

They offered takeout during the pandemic.

Reviews are mostly positive on Facebook and Google.

Customers love both the food and service.

Those that dined after Gordon visited also loved the changes to the decor.

There are a few negative reviews about the wait for food but most are positive.

Little Market Cafe featured in 24 Hours to Hell and Back season 3 episode 10.

It was aired on May 12 2020 and the episode was filmed in February 2020.
