Hell's Kitchen Season 20 / Young Guns aired from 31st May to 13th September 2021.

It aired on Fox Network and there were 18 contestants.

The prize for the winner was a Head Chef position at Gordon Ramsay Steak at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas

All of the contestants in Hell's Kitchen season 20 are under 24 years of age.

This season of Hell's Kitchen was filmed in 2019, which is why there are no restrictions in place.

In this season, Gordon Ramsay was judge, Marino Monferrato was Maître d', Christina Wilson was sous chef for the red team and Jay Santos was sous chef for the blue team.

Alex Lenik Alex Lenik was a Line cook from Chicago, Illinois.

He was eliminated in episode 4 after both teams performed poorly.

Alex had also asked for a breather on the first ticket of the service.

After Hell's Kitchen, Alex is a social media chef.

He regularly posts delicious looking food on his Instagram.


Antonio Ruiz Antonio Ruiz was an Executive chef from Great Falls, Montana.

He was eliminated in episode 12 as his enchiladas verdes dish was underseasoned.

After Hell's Kitchen, Antonio was chef at Texas Bistro at Parkview.

He is currently Executive Chef at The Duchman Family Winery.


Ava Harren Ava Harren was a Meal prep chef from Anchorage, Alaska.

She was eliminated in episode 2 for undercooking her salmon and burning her pineapple garnish during an alcohol challenge.

After Hell's Kitchen, Ava returned to being owner of Avaflava's, a meal prep company.

She is also a part-time Chef Instructor at Season and Taste Cooking School.


Brynn Gibson Brynn Gibson was a Line cook from Vienna, Virginia.

She was eliminated in episode 14 and praised by Gordon but told to control her emotions.

After Hell's Kitchen, Brynn is a food blogger and shares her recipes here.

She has done a number of pop up dining experiences.

Brynn is also Social Media & Marketing Coordinator at Solar Cannabis Co.


Emily Hersh Emily Hersh was a Line cook from San Antonio, Texas.

She was eliminated in episode 12 after her steak was unevenly cooked.

After Hell's Kitchen, Emily was working at Jardín at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens.

She is now a Private Chef.

Emily gives cooking classes and demonstrations, both online and in person.


Jayaun Smith Jayaun Jay Smith was a Private chef from Kansas City, Missouri.

Jayaun was eliminated in episode 3 after he had performed poorly in the two services.

He also struggled on the garnish station.

After Hell's Kitchen, Jayaun has opened two restaurants with his business partner Steven Blakley.

They also co-own Sauced, a lunchtime counter and Just Slide, where they sell sliders.

The pair also owned a food truck called The What Truck? that they sold in 2023.

Jayaun is also a personal chef and was sponsored by Coca Cola.


Josie Clemens Josie Clemens was a Private chef from Macomb, Michigan.

She was eliminated in episode 10 after struggling on the garnish station.

After Hell's Kitchen, Josie is a Private Chef.

She offers vegan catering services and has done a number of pop up dining experiences.


Keanu Hogan Keanu Hogan was a Private chef from Baltimore, Maryland.

He was eliminated in episode 8 after her pork chop caught fire and became overcooked.

Gordon praised her as having the attributes of a good chef.

After Hell's Kitchen, Keanu returned to Thee Perfect Bite, her dining services company.

She is now a Private Chef as Nita's Kitchen and Catering.


Kevin Argueta Kevin Argueta was a Line cook from Los Angeles, California.

He was eliminated during the service in episode 7 after sending out undercooked food and causing his team to struggle.

After Hell's Kitchen, Kevin was Executive Sous Chef at Krispy Rice.

He is currently a Project Engineer at HITT Contracting.


Kiya Willheim Kiya Wilheim was a Head chef from Barrelville, Maryland.

She was eliminated in episode 15 after her menu scored the fewest points.

After Hell's Kitchen, Kiya is a part time bartender and a part time chef.


Matthew Francis Johnson Matthew Francis Johnson was a Food vlogger from Duluth, Minnesota.

He was eliminated in episode 2 after his poor performance during challenges and the first two services.

After Hell's Kitchen, Matthew works at Freshly as an R&D Chef and Content Manager.

Matthew has continued with his YouTube channel.

He has also written an adventure book for young adults.


Megan Gill Megan Gill was a Line cook from Denton, Texas.

She was the Hell's Kitchen season 20 runner up after Gordon reviewed the comment cards for their menus.

After Hell's Kitchen, Megan was lead line cook at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas.

She is currently Executive Chef at Hotel Marcel.


Morgana Vesey Morgana Vesey was a Sous chef from New London, Connecticut.

She was eliminated in episode 5 after she struggled on the fish station, lacked confidence and didn't speak up enough.

After Hell's Kitchen, Morgana opened a bar called 86'd with two other co-owners.

She is currently working at Panorama Six82 at Owl's Nest Resort.

Before this she worked in a other establishments in Connecticut.

These include Water Street Cafe, Oakdale Pizza and Gourmet Galley Catering.


Payton Cooper Payton Cooper was a Sous chef from Lexington, Kentucky.

He was eliminated in episode 6 as he had been too inconsistent and had performed poorly during the service.

After Hell's Kitchen, Payton was a personal chef and had plans to open a food truck.

He also worked at Middle Fork and The Kentucky Castle after the show.

Payton is currently Executive Chef at Par 6 Social.


Sam Garman Sam Garman was an Executive chef from Fleetwood, Pennsylvania.

He was elminated in episode 11 after he struggled with chicken and couldn't tell Gordon who he thought the weakest chef was.

After Hell's Kitchen, Sam was a general manager for catering company Sedexo.

He currently works for Sedexo as a chef.


Steven Glenn Steven Glenn was a Chef de partie from Richmond, Virginia.

He was eliminated in episode 13 due to his lack of communication and Gordon let him keep his jacket.

After Hell's Kitchen, Steve is now a Personal Chef, offering private services and cooking for events.

Before this he was sous chef job at Richmond Country Club.


Trenton Garvey Trenton Garvey was an Executive chef from Union, Missouri.

Trenton was the Hell's Kitchen season 20 winner after Gordon reviewed the comment cards for their menus.

After Hell's Kitchen, Trenton is Executive Chef of The Blue Duck.


Victoria Sonora Victoria Sonora was a Junior Sous Chef from Longmont, Colorado.

She was eliminated in episode 9 due to her performance during the service.

After Hell's Kitchen, Victoria was an Executive Chef at Charlestowne Hotels.

Before this she was sous chef at Balfour Senior Living and a cook at Zolo Grill.

Victoria is currently a Production Supervisor at Azoria Foods.
